DoubleTree opens for business in Arlington, Texas

Atlanta-based Hotel Equities held a grand opening and ribbon cutting celebration in Arlington, Texas, for the DoubleTree by Hilton Arlington DFW South. Hotel Equities manages the 237-room, five-story property that recently completed a $10-million renovation in the Entertainment District of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

Owned by Admiral Hotel Group, the DoubleTree by Hilton Arlington DFW South marks the fourth property under management by Hotel Equities in Dallas and a total of 12 hotels under management in the state of Texas. Hotel Equities now counts four DoubleTree brand hotels in its full-service portfolio of owned and managed properties.

“We are proud to expand our portfolio of full service hotels and bring this beautifully renovated, upscale DoubleTree property to metropolitan Dallas,” said Joe Reardon, SVP of development for Hotel Equities. “The property’s location near entertainment venues, as well as its outstanding amenities and services, will help us exceed our guests’ expectations.”

The DoubleTree by Hilton Arlington DFW South offers more than 6,000 square feet of meeting space to serve the needs of both leisure and business travelers. It lies within a three-mile radius of the DFW Airport, Globe Life Park, Six Flags over Texas and AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.  Jemel Jones serves as the GM of the property, with Natalie Munlin as its director of sales.

Dining includes the Brass Spur Bar & Grill, which specializes in American regional cuisine such as rotisserie-style dishes, steaks, barbeque and other Texas favorites; and its bar offers cocktails and appetizer specials during the nightly happy hour. Those who prefer to dine in-room may order roomservice until 10 p.m. or purchase salads, sandwiches, snacks and beverages from the 24-hour Made Market Pantry.

Leisure-seeking guests may swim in the outdoor pool, or relax in one of the poolside cabanas. The complimentary fitness center is accessible at any time, and includes Precor cardio, strength and core fitness equipment. Other complimentary offerings are a 24-hour business center, as well as a roundtrip shuttle to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
