Serac Capital Partners, in partnership with WalshDupart, has developed a newly opened dual-branded Marriott property in Steamboat Springs, Colo.
The property—which includes a SpringHill Suites by Marriott and TownePlace Suites by Marriott—is comprised of 180 suites. Midas Hospitality played an integral role in opening the hotel and will serve as the management company for the property, marking the St. Louis, Mo.-based company’s first venture in the Rocky Mountains.
“Even before welcoming our first guest, Midas Hospitality’s onsite and corporate teams laid a strong foundation for the success of our Steamboat Springs hotels,” Wm. Roger Gregory, CEO of Houston-based Serac Capital Partners, said in a statement. “On opening day alone, Midas outperformed Marriott’s projections in both rooms reserved and total revenue booked, setting an exceptional tone for what’s ahead."
The development is set against the backdrop of the Yampa Valley, serving skiing, outdoor recreation and the downtown area.
The Crawford Lounge is an onsite bar that serves as a gathering place for guests and locals and was named after the Crawford family—who founded Steamboat Springs in 1900. The Crawford Lounge features a fireplace, billiards and a curated selection of local bites and craft cocktails.
