FibraHotel opens AC by Marriott in Queretaro, Mexico

FibraHotel, the first real estate investment trust specialized in urban business-class hotels in Mexico, announces the opening of the AC by Marriott Queretaro hotel with 175 full-service rooms operated by Marriott International. This opening represents FibraHotel´s sixth hotel in operation with Marriott International and its first under the AC by Marriott brand.

The brand, with over 100 properties globally, is focused on the business traveler and is characterized by modern and functional hotels located in main urban centers. The concept, started in Spain by Antonio Catalán, is based on a contemporary and cosmopolitan design with functional and elegant spaces. FibraHotel has a second AC by Marriott hotel under construction in Guadalajara to be open in the near term.

The full-service hotel is located at Avenida Antea inside a mixed use complex that includes the Antea Lifestyle shopping center which with over 250,000m2 of construction is one of the largest in Latin America. The hotel is located in Juriquilla, the highest growth area in Queretaro. The city is one of the most dynamic in Mexico with important investments in the aerospace, automotive and manufacturing industries.

This opening represents the fifth hotel in Queretaro for FibraHotel, with a total of 660 rooms across four service segments and with five different brands. FibraHotel´s Fairfield Inn & Suites Juriquilla is also near the AC by Marriott Queretaro hotel, which is expected to create operating efficiencies.

With this opening, FibraHotel´s portfolio consists of 80 hotels and 10,973 rooms, of which 65 hotels are in operation (8,942 rooms) and 15 in different stages of development.
