First Embassy Suites opens in downtown Phoenix

Embassy Suites by Hilton opened its first hotel in downtown Phoenix with the the 242-suite Embassy Suites by Hilton Phoenix Downtown North. The hotel is owned and operated by Hospitality Ventures Management Group, an Atlanta-based, private hotel investment, ownership and management company.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Phoenix Downtown North offers a central location in Phoenix's financial, medical and cultural districts, and is designed for both business and leisure travelers. The property is located seven miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and two miles from the Phoenix Convention Center. The hotel is also adjacent to the Thomas/Central Metro Light Rail Station, which provides visitors access to nearby attractions such as Chase Field, Talking Stick Arena, Comerica Theater, Arizona Science Center and Heard Museum, as well as Downtown Tempe and Mesa.

Offering two-room suites, the property provides a free, cooked-to-order breakfast, free Wi-Fi and a complimentary evening reception with drinks and snacks every night. The property also has more than 4,350 square feet of meeting and event space.

"Embassy Suites by Hilton Phoenix Downtown North is the first Embassy Suites property in Downtown Phoenix making it the perfect addition to our award-winning brand of upscale all-suite hotels," Alan Roberts, global head, Embassy Suites by Hilton, said in a statement. "Business and leisure guests looking for a relaxed, upscale experience will feel right at home."

The property also includes amenities such as a fitness center and indoor heated pool. Hotel guests may dine at the Salt River Tavern, which serves a variety of Americana fare for lunch and dinner, ranging from braised short ribs to beer chicken.

"With our centralized location in the heart of downtown Phoenix and numerous amenities geared towards families and business travelers alike, we are confident it quickly will take its place as the market and segment leader," Brian Clark, GM of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Phoenix Downtown North, said in a statement. "Whether it is a business gathering or a family vacation, the hotel has been designed to meet and exceed expectations."
