The Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center officially opened on Aug. 12. Occupying the tallest building in the city and the 10th highest in the United States, the hotel—located between the Comcast Technology Center’s 48th and 60th stories—now ranks as the “highest-situated hotel in North America,” according to Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
Comcast owns the building with Liberty Property Trust. Architect Norman Foster of Foster + Partners designed the entire building, as well as the interiors and furnishings of the Four Seasons.
The hotel itself, located above floors of Comcast offices, television studios and retail stores, features 180 rooms and 39 suites. Jean-Georges Vongerichten leads the 59th floor Jean-Georges Philadelphia restaurant and the 60th floor JG SkyHigh cocktail bar. The hotel’s 57th floor features an infinity pool, a fitness center and the Spa at Four Seasons. Event spaces includes the Grand Terrace Ballroom with adjacent foyer and 1,348-square-foot outdoor terrace and three 59th-floor spaces that can be configured for receptions of up to 80 guests.
“From architecture to design, artistry and innovation, culinary mastery and wellness expertise, we have worked closely with our visionary partners at Comcast and Liberty Property Trust to assemble an all-star team of virtuosos who are elevating Four Seasons service, quality and artistry to new heights," Christian Clerc, president of worldwide hotel operations at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, said in a statement.
