G6 Hospitality opened its first two new-construction, dual-branded Motel 6/Studio 6 hotels. The Texas properties are located in Austin and Corpus Christi. The company plans on introducing a total of 30 dual-branded hotels across the United States and Canada by the end of 2019. The additional 28 properties will be a mix of new construction and conversions.
The new Austin hotel, located between the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and the city’s downtown area, is owned by Humble Origins Hospitality Management and managed by G6 Hospitality. It includes a total of 98 guestrooms, 54 with the Motel 6 brand and 44 with Studio 6. The property offers free Wi-Fi, a guest laundry facility and free parking.
The Corpus Christi hotel, owned and managed by the Corpus Christi-based ZJZ Hospitality, offers 123 guestrooms, which are nearly evenly split between the Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands. It includes an outdoor pool, a large social area, a guest laundry facility, free parking and complimentary Wi-Fi. The Studio 6 rooms also feature fully-equipped kitchens with coffee makers.
