Hilton opens new properties in D.C., Wyoming and Texas

Hilton has opened several new properties in Wyoming, Texas and Washington, D.C.

Washington, D.C.

The former Washington Court Hotel joins the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand portfolio as the 267-room Hilton Washington D.C. Capitol Hill, the company’s 25th property in the city and 124th in the D.C.-metro area.

“Located in the heart of the nation’s capital and the hometown of our headquarters, Hilton Washington D.C. Capitol Hill’s fantastic location paired with its modern design make it a perfect addition to our portfolio,” said Danny Hughes, EVP and president, Americas, Hilton. “We look forward to adding this hotel to our already strong presence in the city.”

The upgraded guestrooms and suites have a D.C.-inspired modern design with black-and-white photography on the walls. The property also has 20,000 square feet of renovated meeting space, meeting and event attendees can choose from two ballrooms, and 16 breakout rooms and boardrooms.

Cody, Wyo.

Hilton has brought its upper-midscale Hampton by Hilton brand to Cody, Wyo.

The Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Cody is owned by JPK TR Cody and was developed by TKO Hotels. The property has 92 guestrooms, a fitness center, an outdoor patio with fireplace and an indoor pool and outdoor hot tub–both utilizing a saltwater system.

Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Cody is located near the Cody Nite Rodeo grounds, Old Trail Town and the Billings Clinic Cody office.

Lubbock, Texas

Just a few months after opening the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Lubbock University, Hilton has opened the DoubleTree by Hilton Lubbock University Area as Lubbock’s first full-service hotel. The hotel, located within walking distance to the Buddy Holly Performing Arts Center and the Civic Center, is also 3 miles from the UMC Health System Hospital, Covenant Health and Texas Tech University.

After extensive renovations throughout the property, the hotel has a modernized lobby and public areas. The property has 140 newly designed guestrooms including one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites and rooms with private balconies overlooking downtown Lubbock and the Texas Tech campus.

Claraboya, the restaurant and bar located inside the hotel, serves regional cuisine with a Western Texas flair. The hotel also has more than 5,000 square feet of event space including a pillar-free ballroom, outdoor veranda and meeting rooms.
