Home2 Suites, Tru open hotels across the South

Hilton’s Home2 Suites and Tru brands opened several new locations in the South last month. The debuts, located in Florida, North Carolina and Texas, together totaled 494 rooms.

The 103-key Home2 Suites by Hilton Fernandina Beach Amelia Island opened in northeastern Florida near the state’s border with Georgia. Owned and managed by Fernandina Investments, the hotel includes a combined laundry and fitness area, a grab-and-go market and an outdoor saline pool. The hotel is a located roughly 35 minutes from Jacksonville International Airport.

In North Carolina, owner/operator Parks Hospitality Group opened the 101-room Tru by Hilton Burlington. The hotel includes a grab-and-go market and a fitness center. It is located across the street from Alamance Regional Medical Center and minutes from Elon University.

Roughly three hours to the southwest, the 117-room Home2 Suites by Hilton Asheville Biltmore Village opened, also in North Carolina. The hotel includes a combined laundry and fitness area, a grab-and-go market and an outdoor pool. Carmel Lodging owns the hotel and Baywood Hotels operates it.

Both Home2 Suites by Hilton and Tru by Hilton added a new location in Euless, Texas, where Icon Lodging opened a 173-room dual-brand property. A short drive from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, the Tru by Hilton/Home2 Suites by Hilton Euless DFW Airport West also provides quick access to the Glade Parks Shopping Center and downtown Grapevine, Texas.

Tru by Hilton has 100 locations across North America. Home2 Suites by Hilton has 350 open hotels, as well as 445 in its pipeline. Overall, Hilton has nearly 6,000 properties with more than 954,000 rooms across its 17 brands.
