IHG signs deal for second Holiday Inn in Kolkata, India

InterContinental Hotels Group has partnered with SDB Developers to bring a second Holiday Inn hotel to Kolkata, India. 

The 110-room Holiday Inn Resort Kolkata NH6 will have 90 guestrooms operational by the end of 2018. The partners will add another 20 guestrooms, scheduled to begin operating by 2020. The Holiday Inn Resort Kolkata NH6 will open on a 12-acre site in Uluberia within the Kolkata Metropolitan Area. The resort will be near the Kolkata city center, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, the National Highway and the Orissa Trunk Road.

The new Holiday Inn will join IHG’s 150-room Holiday Inn Kolkata Airport in the city center. IHG signed the hotel with real estate company Jain Group in February 2014 in a deal to open three hotels in India: Holiday Inn Kolkata, the 100-room Holiday Inn Durgapur and the 80-room Holiday Inn Siliguri.
