JN+A redesigns former University Inn in D.C.’s Foggy Bottom

The former George Washington University Inn in Washington, D.C. is getting a new name. Arc The.Hotel will open on May 1 in northwest D.C.’s Foggy Bottom neighborhood.

Jonathan Nehmer + Associates was involved in the design of the property.

Renovated from top to bottom, the nine-story Arc will have 136 guestrooms with wood tile entryways in the masters and suites, marble bathroom, desk and vanity countertops, Frette Luxury 300 thread count bed linen, Malin + Goetz “Rum” scented bath amenities, and Keurig coffee makers. The rooms will also have panoramic views of the Potomac River and tech-based amenities such as a customizable pillow menu and mobile concierge.

Arc The.Hotel also has a full bar, restaurant dining and courtyard seating.

The hotel is located near The Kennedy Center, George Washington University & Hospital, IMF/World Bank headquarters, National Mall and the Metro’s orange and blue rail lines.
