Marriott opens Ireland's first Aloft

Marriott International has opened the Aloft Dublin City, marking the brand's debut in Ireland.

John Licence, VP/premium and select brands, Europe at Marriott International, said, "From the buskers on Grafton St. to shows in the National Concert Hall, the live music experience in Dublin is a special one and we can’t wait to add to the city’s buzzing nighttime scene by inviting emerging artists to take the stage at our Live At Aloft series."

The hotel has 202 rooms whose guest beds have headboards designed by local artist Sketchy.. Public spaces include the WXYZ bar on the seventh floor (which will host Live at Aloft, the brand’s music program that showcases acoustic performances and backstage moments), the Re:mix lounge, the Re:fuel pantry, the Re:charge fitness center and meeting facilities.
