* Fresno Radisson: Radisson opened the 197-room Radisson Hotel Fresno Conference Center in downtown Fresno, Calif. The hotel has complimentary high-speed Internet access throughout the property, 24-hour fitness and business centers, a heated outdoor pool, complimentary shuttles to Yosemite International Airport and Amtrak station as well as complimentary on-site parking. Co-owner Mukesh Shah opened the hotel.

* Alberta opening: Best Western International opened the 150-room Best Western Plus Service Inn & Suites in Alberta, Canada. The hotel has a heated pool with two-story waterslide and swim jet, hot tub and a 24-hour fitness center. The hotel also has a business center with complimentary printing and copy services and free Internet access in all public areas.

* Future Brisbane hotel: Middle East-based hotel developer Action Hotels will construct the 368-room, $90-million Ibis hotel in Brisbane’s CBD. It is the developer’s first foray into the Queensland market, and its second in Australia. Construction is scheduled to begin later this year.

* Odessa opening: Baymont Inn & Suites, part of Wyndham Hotel Group and parent company Wyndham Worldwide, opened its 350th hotel, a 71–room property in Odessa, Texas. This is the newest property for Baymont, which recently opened hotels in Erie, Pa.; San Angelo, Texas; Bellevue, Iowa; and Rapid City, S.D.
