Residence Inn opens in downtown Wilmington, Del.

The 96-suite Residence Inn by Marriott in Wilmington, Del., is open. Located at 1300 North Market Street, the all-suite Residence Inn Wilmington Downtown will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Canon Hospitality Management. The new Residence Inn is the first hotel to open in downtown Wilmington in 20 years.

Located in downtown Wilmington and 20 miles from Philadelphia International Airport, the hotel offers its guests access to The Grand Opera House, Chase Riverfront Center and New Castle County Courthouse, and is within walking distance to numerous offices and restaurants. Rates vary depending on length of stay.

The Residence Inn Wilmington Downtown is an all-suite hotel that offers studio and one-bedroom suites. Guestrooms include plush mattresses, large work desks, ergonomic chairs and complimentary high-speed internet access. Designed for stays of five nights or more, each suite also has a fully equipped kitchen with a coffeemaker, a microwave oven and residential-sized appliances.

The Residence Inn Wilmington Downtown rotates a wide selection of healthy choices at a daily free hot breakfast. The hotel also offers grocery delivery service, complimentary Wi-Fi, 24-hour onsite food-and-beverage market, dry-cleaning services and an onsite guest laundry room. The hotel also maintains a business library where guests can fax, copy and print materials, and provides guests a fitness center and two meeting rooms with a total of 1,590 square feet of meeting space to accommodate functions of up to 49 people. The hotel will also have an onsite restaurant offering flavors as well as locally brewed beverages.
