Denver-based hospitality brand Miraval Group opened the first Miraval Life in Balance Spa at the five-star Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, California.

Designed by Los Angeles-based studios Rodrigo Vargas Design and TFO Architecture, the spa has 24 treatment rooms, a boutique, suites for couples, a full-service nail salon, Drybar, Deborah Lippmann nail salon, zones for relaxation and the Miraval Spa Café.

The 30,000-square-foot spa is part of the resort’s $40 million renovation, which will also include five new dining options, as well as an expanded pool and bar. The property, operated until May 31 by Starwood Hotels as a St. Regis, will then rebrand as Monarch Beach Resort operated by KSL Resorts.
