Under Canvas opens White Mountains Camp in New Hampshire

Under Canvas has opened Under Canvas White Mountains, its first location in New Hampshire and 17th U.S. property across its three hospitality brands.

The seasonal camp—which is now open for the 2026 season—is on 86 acres on the western edge of New Hampshire’s White Mountains, with views of Mount Washington and the Presidential Range. The property marks the Denver-based company’s second location in New England, joining its camp near Acadia National Park in Maine.

Located approximately two-and-a-half hours from Boston, the camp provides access to regional outdoor attractions, including White Mountain National Forest, Franconia Notch State Park and Flume Gorge.

“Our new White Mountains camp marks an exciting new chapter as we continue expanding across the Northeast, and we’re thrilled to introduce guests to this remarkable region through the Under Canvas experience,” Under Canvas CEO Noah Brodsky said in a statement. “From direct trail access to sweeping views of the Presidential Range, the camp captures the spirit of adventure that makes the White Mountains so special.”

The property has 45 safari-style accommodations equipped with private decks, ensuite bathrooms, king beds and wood-burning stoves. Under Canvas’ Stargazer tents include overhead viewing windows, while the Mount Washington Suite connects two tents through a shared outdoor lounge designed for families and groups.

Amenities include a communal café serving seasonal menu items, as well as on-site programming such as live music and yoga. The camp’s Guest Experience team can arrange activities including guided hiking excursions, cycling outings, scenic rail trips and other regional experiences.

According to the company, the property was developed under its Mindful Approach framework, which emphasizes low-impact construction practices, limited land disturbance and DarkSky-compliant lighting intended to reduce light pollution and preserve nighttime visibility.
