Wilson Associates designs the St. Regis Zhuhai on China’s Pearl River Delta

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has opened the St. Regis Zhuhai, located on the Greater Bay area, which serves as a new integrated business and economic hub for the cities of Hong Kong, Macau, Shenzhen and Zhuhai.

Overlooking the Wanzai shoreline, the St. Regis Zuhai occupies floors 41 to 72 of the Zhuhai Tower, the city’s newest landmark in the business district. Zhuhai is a popular travel destination located on the west bank of the Pearl River Delta of Southern China.

The St. Regis Zhuhai has 251 guestrooms, including 34 suites and a 1,100 square-meter (11,840 square foot) Presidential Suite. All guestrooms have panoramic views of the waterways of the Greater Bay area, as well as the historical landscapes and bridge structures of Macau and Zhuhai.

Designed by Wilson Associates, each guestroom has glamorous touches, including a diamond pattern that pays tribute to the brand’s founding patroness, Caroline Astor, who loved this precious stone.

For dining, the property has Social, inspired by the first-class dining salons of 1900s cruise liners; Yan Ting, offering modern Cantonese fine dining; The St. Regis Bar; LaBrezza, an Italian restaurant; and Air 71, which has panoramic views of the city.

With 16,146 square feet of meeting space, The St. Regis Zhuhai offers a range of layouts for events and gatherings. The St. Regis rooftop on the 72nd floor offers views of the river channel between Hengqin and Macau’s Cotai Strip. For larger events, there is The Astor Ballroom on the ground level, with its own entrance.

The Iridium Spa on the 68th floor of the hotel has nine treatment rooms, each with a Living Earth therapy bed. The property also has an outdoor pool on the 71st floor, the exclusive St. Regis Athletic Club on the 69th floor and a heated indoor pool.

With this opening, The St. Regis Zhuhai joins the brand’s other properties in China, including The St. Regis Shenzhen, The St. Regis Macau and The St. Regis Hong Kong (expected to open in Q2 2019).
