Accor to open new Sofitel property in Jakarta by 2018

Farpoint Prima, a property developer unit of Gunung Sewu Group, signed a deal with French hotel management company Accor to open Accor’s first hotel in Jakarta.

A representative of Farpoint, told reporters that the new Jakarta hotel will be a Sofitel So property with 212 rooms and will be a part of Farpoint’s mix-use development that will be called The Hundred in Mega Kuningan, one of Jakarta’s office complexes.

Sofitel So will take 14 floors in The Hundred’s 50-story tower, of which its construction is scheduled to start around October. The Hundred will be built on a 364,000-square-foot parcel of land in Mega Kuningan. Other buildings in the compound include a 24-story office. The entire development is scheduled to begin operations in 2018.
