The Aloft Guangzhou University Park opens

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide debuted its Aloft Hotels brand in Guangzhou with the opening of Aloft Guangzhou University Park. Located in the center of Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center and owned by Fineland Group, Aloft Guangzhou University Park has 272 loft-like rooms.

Aloft Guangzhou University Park is located in the Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center, or Guangzhou University City, in the center of Xiaoguwei Island on the Pearl River in the South-east of Guangzhou.

Guangzhou University City is home to ten local higher education institutions, most of which are minutes away from the hotel by foot. Aloft Guangzhou University Park is located next to Lingnan Impression Park and city attractions such as the Whampoa Military Academy, Revolution Memorial Museum and Guangdong Science Center. Additionally, the hotel is a ten minute drive away from Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, 25-minutes away from the Zhujiang New Town Central Business District of Guangzhou and 50-minutes away from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.

The hotel has 272 rooms with loft-inspired that come with an oversized showerhead, custom amenities by Bliss Spa and free WiFi. Plug & Play connectivity in all rooms links to the 42-inch LCD TVs. The hotel will also debut Arf - the Aloft brand's signature pet-friendly program for dogs under 40 lbs, which has an Aloft-branded bed and bowl, plus treats and toys.

Additionally, the Aloft Guangzhou University Park offers unique 'Tactic' meeting rooms of varying sizes with over 1,640 square feet of meeting space, including one at 1,131 square feet, equipped with high speed internet access and AV equipment

The debuts consisted of a Hotel RL in St. Louis, a Tru by Hilton in Springfield and a SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Kansas City.

The appointments include new general managers, directors of sales and marketing and a cluster revenue manager at the corporate level.
