Bechmark Hospitality adds San Francisco's Hotel Zelos to its luxury collection

Benchmark Hospitality International added San Francisco’s Hotel Zelos to its Personal Luxury Resorts & Hotels brand collection. The hotel is owned by Pebblebrook Hotel Trust of Bethesda, Md. Alex Cabanas, Benchmark’s president & CEO, made the announcement. 

"Hotel Zelos is an extraordinary addition to our Personal Luxury Resorts & Hotels portfolio,” Cabanas said. “Centered in the heart of downtown San Francisco, the hotel is perfectly located for both the business and leisure traveler, and is within walking distance of the Moscone Convention Center.”

Hotel Zelos, which takes its new name from the Greek god of dedication and zeal, originally opened in 1999 as Hotel Palomar San Francisco. The hotel has 202 guestrooms and suites, 3,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and is also home to the bar/restaurant, Dirty Habit.
