Vision Hospitality Group revealed The Edwin Hotel, a boutique hotel located in the Bluff View Art District of Chattanooga, Tenn. The Edwin Hotel will offer 90 rooms, upscale décor, a rooftop bar and a restaurant along with a wide range of luxury amenities.
The architect is PV Design of Chattanooga, and the designer is The Gettys Group, based in Chicago. In August, the Strauss Company, a local builder, began construction on the project, which has a projected opening in the spring of 2017.
The hotel name celebrates Edwin Thacher who, in 1891, led the development of the iconic Walnut Street Bridge from downtown to today’s North Shore. The Edwin Hotel seeks to honor this enduring landmark by introducing guests to the stylish, Southern culture of Chattanooga.
The Edwin will partner with area merchants and artists to introduce guests and locals alike to regionally sourced products, art, cuisine and outdoor activities such as rock climbing and paddle boarding.
