Caesars Entertainment Corp. is transitioning the operations of its three Ohio casinos to its partner, Detroit-based Rock Gaming.
The three properties are the Horseshoe Cleveland, Horseshoe Cincinnati and the ThistleDown Racetrack casino. The Horseshoe name will be removed from the properties, and the casinos will no longer take part in Caesars' Total Rewards customer loyalty program.
In addition, the transaction also included ownership of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Cleveland, the Higbee Building in downtown Cleveland and a controlling interest in Turfway Park in Florence, Ky.
Rock Gaming now owns 100 percent of the properties, where Caesars previously managed the gaming aspects of the properties.
