Chesapeake Hospitality takes over management of 3 hotels

Third-party hotel management company Chesapeake Hospitality has assumed management of three hotels on the East Coast: the Hilton Garden Inn Kent Narrows in Grasonville, Md., and the Wyndham Gettysburg and Courtyard Gettysburg hotels in Gettysburg, Pa.

The 90-room Hilton Garden Inn Kent Narrows is a waterfront hotel and marina with views of Kent Narrows and Eastern Bay. The property is situated on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, 5 miles east of the Chesapeake Bay. The hotel is all suites with private balconies. Amenities include dockside dining and an indoor heated pool as well as a waterfront terrace and event space and boardwalk that overlooks the adjacent 100-slip marina, which also is managed by Chesapeake.

The Wyndham Gettysburg Hotel & Conference center is part of the Gateway Gettysburg Campus, located just outside downtown Gettysburg. Its Federal-style architecture blends the area’s Civil War history with modern amenities. The property has 248 guestrooms, two on-site dining options and a movie theater. The 61,000 square feet of event space makes the hotel the largest venue in the area, with a presidential ballroom that can accommodate 850 guests.

Located at the crossroads of U.S. 15 and U.S. 30 in the Gateway Gettysburg Campus, the Courtyard by Marriott Gettysburg is 2.5 miles from the center of Gettysburg’s historic sites and attractions. The property has 152 guestrooms, an indoor pool and on-site dining options.

Chesapeake Hospitality CEO Chris Green and EVP of Strategic Development Steve Smith are working with owners to help navigate the crisis and provide corporate stability in a management partner. “These acquisitions are reflective of Chesapeake’s commitment for more than 60 years to deliver results and meaningful solutions for our owners, especially today when expertise to navigate these unprecedented times is required,” Green said.
