Convention center DoubleTree opens in Charleston, S.C.

The 142-room DoubleTree by Hilton North Charleston - Convention Center opened across the street from the North Charleston Convention Center, two miles from Charleston International Airport and 10 miles from historic downtown Charleston. Formerly the Holiday Inn Charleston Airport & Convention Center, the property completed a $4-million renovation that includes a complete redesign of the lobby, guestrooms and restaurant. DoubleTree by Hilton North Charleston - Convention Center is owned by Lowcountry Hotels and managed by Fennell Holdings.

The hotel has a 24-hour business center, 24-hour fitness center, seasonal outdoor pool open from Memorial Day to Labor Day and a complimentary area shuttle service. The property also has 4,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, including a 1,600-square-foot ballroom.
