The Cromwell, a $185-million hotel and resort, is set to open this spring along the Las Vegas Strip and will include the first restaurant by TV personality Giada De Laurentiis.
The Cromwell will combine contemporary and classic French design in its 188 rooms and suites. Reservations will be accepted starting Feb. 24, by which time the opening date for the Las Vegas property should be known.
De Laurentiis’ second-floor eatery, on the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road, will have retractable windows and offer views of the Bellagio fountains across the Strip.
The Cromwell will also have a rooftop pool beside a two-story day-nightclub by Victor Drai.
Designers say the resort will draw inspiration from the Costes Hotel in Paris, using black, French-style awnings and gold fixtures. Guestrooms will have distressed hardwood flooring and furnishings with a “vintage luggage” motif. The shower walls will be covered in black and white mosaic tile.
