Doubletree in Ras Al Khamia to add 216 new rooms

The DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, plans to be expanded into a 701-room resort, with floor space increasing by 44 percent.

The Al Marjan Island company said that work on the expansion of the hotel is "progressing rapidly." According to a joint statement by AMI and DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island, the expansion is over 20 percent complete.

The underground construction, including excavations, earthworks, basement and substructure has been completed, following the purchase of an additional 253,577 square feet of land to execute the plan.
