Greenwood Hospitality to buy DoubleTree in Wichita, Kan.

Colorado-based Greenwood Hospitality Group is planning to purchase an airport hotel in Wichita, Kan.

The company is buying the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Wichita Airport, pending approval for a land lease by the Wichita City Council.

Greenwood will own and operate the property under a recently formed local entity, Wichita Investment. The property is Wichita's second-largest hotel.
