Hilton signs Tapestry Collection's first international hotels

Hilton signed two Tapestry Collection by Hilton agreements in Lima, Peru: Hotel Bel'Arte Lima and Hotel Museo de Osma. These are the first international properties for Hilton's Tapestry Collection brand.

The first property—the 117-room Hotel Bel'Arte Lima, Tapestry Collection by Hilton—will be in the financial district of San Isidro in Peru's capital. The property is slated to open in 2021.

The second property—the 86-room Hotel Museo de Osma, Tapestry Collection by Hilton—is also expected open in 2021. The hotel in Lima’s Barranco cultural district will form part of the De Osma mixed-use development, sharing the site with a theater, museum and shopping center.

The new deals form part of Hilton's development pipeline of eight hotels in Peru, with plans to add more than 1,000 guestrooms in key markets throughout the country.

"As Hilton continues expanding in Latin America, our team has strategically focused on pursuing opportunities in Peru, one of the region's fastest growing economies in the past decade," Juan Corvinos, VP of development in Latin America and the Caribbean, Hilton, said in a statement. "With six hotels and more than 850 existing guestrooms in our Peru portfolio, we look forward to further solidifying our presence with milestone projects, including brand debuts in Lima and throughout the country in destinations, such as Arequipa and Tarapoto."

Hilton will also debut its Hampton and Homewood Suites brands in Peru by 2021 along with two Hilton Garden Inn properties. The upcoming projects include the 148-room Hampton Inn by Hilton Lima San Isidro opening in 2019, the 104-room Hampton Inn by Hilton Arequipa opening in 2020, the 86-room Hampton Inn by Hilton Tarapoto opening in 2021, the 100-room Homewood Suites by Hilton Lima Miraflores opening in 2021, the 250-room Hilton Garden Inn Lima Miraflores opening in 2019 and the 194-room Hilton Garden Inn Lima San Isidro opening in 2020.
