Homewood Suites opens 11th property in the D.C. metro area

Homewood Suites by Hilton opened the Homewood Suites by Hilton Washington, D.C. North/Gaithersburg, the brand’s 11th hotel in the D.C. metro area.

Homewood Suites’ continued D.C. area expansion is parallel to the continued tourism growth, as the city welcomed a total of 19 million visitors in 2013.

Homewood Suites Washington, D.C. North/Gaithersburg, owned and managed by Baywood Hotels, has 123 studio and one bedroom suites. Pavan Bhatia, the hotel's GM, and Leila Beltramo, director of sales, have been in the hotel industry for a combined 18 years.

Located in the business district at 805 Russell Avenue, the hotel is located near shops and restaurants and accessible to I-270 Technology Corridor. The property also makes it easy for guests to explore local attractions such as Maryland SoccerPlex & Discovery Sports Center, Lake Forest Mall, Montgomery County Agricultural Fairgrounds or Washington D.C.’s Shady Grove Metro a short drive away.

Homewood Suites by Hilton provides travelers amenities and services that maximize their travel budgets including: complimentary internet, daily full-hot breakfast and complimentary evening social Monday through Thursday. In addition, Homewood Suites offers fully equipped kitchens, separate sleeping and living spaces, a complimentary grocery shopping service*** and recreational options such as a fitness center, indoor spa, seasonal outdoor putting green and pool enabling travelers to “stay in the groove.” The hotel also offers 1,700 square feet of flexible event space.
