Hospitality Lodging Systems (HLS) continues plans for the growth of its Budgetel and Haven Hotel brands with the addition of Austin Yarbrough as director of development.
Yarbrough joins HLS after four years of experience as team leader with the U.S. Marine Corps in Washington, D.C., responsible for managing participation by an elite group of 30 Marines in high-level events at the White House, the Capitol, the Pentagon and other area sites.
Previously, he had sales experience in the health fitness industry.
“There is growing interest among hotel owners in the earning power of our brands, and Austin enhances our ability to tell them our story of less fees and more service,” said Doug Collins, chairman of HLS.
HLS, which currently manages a system of 22 Budgetel properties and one Haven Hotel, expects to double its portfolio within six months. The company has one of the industry’s most owner-friendly fees schedules and franchise contracts, including an annual exit opportunity.
