HVMG signs on to manage 2 hotels in Georgia

Hospitality Ventures Management Group has signed contracts to manage two Georgia hotels: the 127-room Holiday Inn Savannah Historic District and the upcoming 160-key Embassy Suites by Hilton Halcyon Village Alpharetta. The Atlanta-based hotel investment, ownership and management company will operate the properties on behalf of Key International and Atlas Member Group of Alpharetta, respectively.

The five-floor Holiday Inn Savannah Historic District is located within blocks of River Street and City Market and just over a mile from Forsyth Park. It features an outdoor pool, a fitness center, a bar and lounge, a business center and 2,285 square feet of meeting space.

“Savannah continues to thrive, drawing more than 8 million overnight visitors per year,” Shawn Gracey, EVP of hospitality at Key International, said in a statement. “Through our strategic partnership with HVMG as operator, we will continue to deliver on our company’s brand promise to provide exceptional guest experiences in unique locations like this one.”

The under-construction Embassy Suites by Hilton Halcyon Village Alpharetta, slated to open in the beginning of 2021, will be located within the $370 million, 135-acre, Halcyon mixed-use development. The hotel will include 4,815 square feet of meeting space, a business center, an indoor pool, a grab-and-go market and a fitness center with a yoga studio.

“[HVMG President/CEO] Robert Cole and team were brought in during the early stages of this venture and provided input during our development process,” Jay Darji, owner and managing principal, said in a statement. “As the senior vice-president of investments for Sun Companies, a partner of Atlas Member Group of Alpharetta, I feel we have put together an exciting relationship between HVMG and Sun Companies, two of the leaders in hospitality management and development.

HVMG currently operates 42 hotels and convention centers totaling 7,141 guestrooms.
