Ibis opens second Edinburgh hotel

Economy hotel chain Ibis opened its second property in Edinburgh.

The Edinburgh Centre South Bridge, which joins the Ibis Edinburgh Centre Royal Mile, is located close to Edinburgh castle and the city's shopping district.

The 259-room hotel has three bedroom types - double rooms with one double bed, twin rooms with two beds and family bedrooms with one double and one extra bed. Each room has free WFi, a desk and a flatscreen TV.

"Edinburgh is one of Europe's most popular tourist destinations attracting visitors from across the globe and this is the first of three hotels which we will open in the city this year," said Thomas Dubaere, COO for Accor UK and Ireland.
