IHG and Social Security Investment Fund renew management contract for two Jordan hotels

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and the Social Security Investment Fund renewed their contract to manage the Crowne Plaza Amman and Crowne Plaza Resort Petra hotels in Jordan.

The contract was signed by Pascal Guavin, COO India, Middle East and Africa for IHG, and Suleiman Al Hafez, president of the Social Security Investment Fund, announcing the continuation of operating Crowne Plaza Amman and Crowne Plaza Resort Petra under the Crowne Plaza brand.

"We are happy to pool all the experiences we gained from all over the world and place it in the hands of the hotel industry in Jordan, specifically for hotels that are owned by the Jordanian citizens via the Social Security Investment Fund," Guavin said. "We at IHG appreciate these hotels’ dedication to attract international expertise in the hospitality field, which led to the development in the touristic services, as well as training many Jordanian experts in the hotel services field and hospitality, consequently turning those hotels into schools from which excellent talents and competencies have graduated and are currently working in local and regional hotel managements, and positively reputable restaurants."
