IHG to open the Holiday Inn Cairns

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) signed a management agreement with Taisei Kanko Australia for the 173-room Holiday Inn Cairns Harbourside. The hotel, currently operating as the Mercure Cairns Harbourside, will undergo refurbishment before opening as a Holiday Inn later this year. It will be the 11th Holiday Inn hotel in the country.

Located at the northern end of The Esplanade in Cairns – an access point for the Great Barrier Reef – Holiday Inn Cairns Harbourside is designed for guests on holiday looking to experience the World Heritage Site. The hotel is also close to Cairns Airport, and is a short distance from the Cairns waterfront and harbor.

Guests staying at Holiday Inn Cairns Harbourside can access the hotel's all-day dining restaurant, while families can take part in the Holiday Inn brand's 'Kids Eat & Stay Free' program, which provides young travellers with all inclusive meals during their stay.
