Illinois' Deer Path Inn to reopen following renovations

The Deer Path Inn in Lake Forest, Ill., will be opening to guests Jan. 1 after completing a major renovation.

The hotel's interior was updated during the overhaul, and the Inn's two dining venues opened Dec. 5. The property received an updated lobby, new millwork in the ceiling and stone inlaid tiles on the lobby floor. The renovations were originally planned to take place over a period of 15 months.

“Knowing what the Deer Path Inn means to the community, it was important for us to re-open as soon as physically possible,” Matt Barba, GM of the hotel, told the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Patch. “Once things got going, we saw an opportunity to finish sooner than originally scheduled.”
