Joie de Vivre to open boutique hotel in Palo Alto, Calif.

Joie de Vivre Hotels will open a new boutique hotel in 2014 in Palo Alto, Calif.

As one of only two hotels to open in downtown Palo Alto in the last decade, the boutique hotel - to be called The Epiphany Hotel - will open March 1 with 86 guestrooms, an 80-seat indoor-outdoor restaurant and several meeting spaces.

Located near Stanford University, next door to one of Facebook’s first headquarters, the hotel also will offer co-working spaces, such as “The Accelerator” work lounge, and four rooftop suites that will include Murphy beds and meeting areas to facilitate “intimate corporate” gatherings.

“The Epiphany Hotel is tapped into Silicon Valley, inspired by the local streets and neighboring start-up businesses,” said Niki Leondakis, CEO of Commune Hotels & Resorts - Joie de Vivre’s parent company.
