Joie de Vivre to open boutique hotel in Palo Alto, Calif.

Joie de Vivre Hotels will open a new boutique hotel in 2014 in Palo Alto, Calif.

As one of only two hotels to open in downtown Palo Alto in the last decade, the boutique hotel - to be called The Epiphany Hotel - will open March 1 with 86 guestrooms, an 80-seat indoor-outdoor restaurant and several meeting spaces.

Located near Stanford University, next door to one of Facebook’s first headquarters, the hotel also will offer co-working spaces, such as “The Accelerator” work lounge, and four rooftop suites that will include Murphy beds and meeting areas to facilitate “intimate corporate” gatherings.
