Kempinski to open Doha resort Dec. 1

European hotelier Kempinski will open its newest resort -- Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl - Doha - on Dec. 1.

This is the company's second hotel in Qatar and its seventh in the Gulf. The property is located on its own island, where it will offer 281 guestrooms, six restaurants, two cafes, a private beach, outdoor swimming pools, water sports facilities, a 32,000-square-foot spa, a tennis court, yacht jetties and meeting and event facilities, including an 11,500-square-foot grand ballroom.

"Our waterfront destination showcases the finest of European luxury, heritage, and architecture blended with traditional Arabian elements," Wissam Suleiman, GM of the hotel, said in a statement. "From the opulent and grand rooms and suites to our impeccable service standards, this hotel is set to become a benchmark for bespoke luxury in Qatar and the wider region
