Kokua Hospitality to manage the Powell San Francisco

Chicago-based hotel management firm Kokua Hospitality announced a partnership with Host Hotels & Resorts. Kokua Hospitality will manage Host Hotels & Resorts' newly acquired property, The Powell Hotel in San Francisco. Kokua Hospitality also manages this owner's Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach.

"We are excited about this addition to our portfolio and thrilled to continue our relationship with Host Hotels & Resorts," said Phil Tufano, Chief Operating Officer of Kokua Hospitality. "As turnaround and transition specialists, we are pleased that the owners are making the investment in this hotel with elements that will appeal to the savvy business and leisure traveler, looking for a hotel that understands his or her needs."

Kokua will be repositioning the 151-room hotel as one of the most desired boutiques in San Francisco.
