Marcus Hotels & Resorts, a nationally recognized hotel owner and management company and division of The Marcus Corporation, has been selected to manage the Murieta Inn and Spa in Rancho Murieta, Calif., which opened Jan. 23, 2018.
The newly constructed inn and spa is located southeast of Sacramento among the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Range in what is known as Gold Country. Found within the development containing the Murieta Equestrian Center, the largest equestrian facility in California, the 83-room hotel includes The Gate, a restaurant and bar that offers seasonal menus using ingredients from the hotel’s five-acre farm and modern greenhouse. In addition to a “farm-to-fork” experience, guests can also enjoy wine from the foothills’ wine country. The hotel has a resort-style pool and hot tub adjacent to a private one-acre park overlooking the Cosumnes River. Guests can also relax at The Cupola, a salon and day spa that will open in April, and the Murieta Inn and Spa also offers up to 15,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, with advanced technologies such as fiber optic Wi-Fi and Staycast capabilities and a dedicated coordinator assigned to every event.

The nearby Murieta Equestrian Center draws thousands of visitors from across the nation and around the world, hosting over 50 events each year that bring patrons and exhibitors to the Rancho Murieta area each weekend. Due to already high demand, plans are underway to add 24 three-bedroom suites to the hotel. Construction on the expansion is expected to begin in the spring.
