McKibbon Hospitality picks up management of Atlanta Hampton Inn

McKibbon Hospitality signed on to manage the Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta-Downtown, now owned by Apple Hospitality REIT. The new management contract expands McKibbon Hospitality’s presence in Atlanta, where it currently manages the Home2 Suites Atlanta Downtown, and adds a sixth Hampton Inn & Suites to its portfolio.

“The McKibbon team is pleased to add the Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta-Downtown to our growing hotel management portfolio,” Randy Hassen, president of McKibbon Hospitality’s hotel management division, said in a statement. “The hotel meets all of the criteria we look for in new management opportunities—it is a trusted brand located in a prime area within a high-demand market. We also look forward to working with one of our valued hotel owners, Apple Hospitality REIT, on this exciting project.”

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta-Downtown is located within walking distance of the CNN Center, Phillips Arena, Centennial Olympic Park and other local attractions. The more than 90-year-old building consists of 119 guestrooms and suites, meeting space for up to 75 guests and daily amenities including a complimentary hot breakfast, Wi-Fi in every room and an onsite fitness center.

In the Atlanta area, McKibbon is also currently developing the Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta Buckhead, set to open in early summer 2018. The hotel will be part of the Buckhead Place development.

Headquartered in Tampa, Fla., and Gainesville, Ga., McKibbon Hospitality builds, renovates and manages properties across the country for Marriott, Hilton, Starwood and other hospitality brands.
