The Miami Edition Hotel opens

Ian Schrager, the hotelier behind the Delano hotel, partnered with Arne Sorenson, CEO of Marriott International to open the The Miami Beach Edition.

The 3.5-acre property has a tropical resort aesthetic. The hotel completed four years of renovations. Marriott purchased the site for $57.5 million and paid for the development of the new hotel.

The owner/operator plans to strategize on further international projects after the hotel’s opening, which is slated for March 2021.
