Minooka, Ill., receives new Hampton Inn

A new Hampton Inn & Suite opened in Minooka, Ill. Construction on the hotel began October 2014, and the property is owned by a local family-owned company.

The hotel's tax incentive package includes a three-year, 50 percent real estate tax abatement equal to roughly $240,000. Additionally, the hotel received a waiver of a village building permit fee of between $15,000 and $25,000, as well as a 90-percent rebate on its hotel taxes for 10 years.
