Mumford Company appoints Ben S. Burge to sales analyst

Mumford Company announced that Ben S. Burge joined the full service hospitality brokerage advisory firm as a sales analyst. In this role, Burge will be actively involved in the development of property marketing, valuation analysis, market research and other corporate activities. Burge will be located in the Newport News, Va., office.

Prior to joining Mumford Company, Burge held roles in hotel operations including restaurant manager at the Renaissance Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., as well as an operational rotation with Benchmark Hospitality and Interstate Hotels and Resorts. Additionally, Burge is a recent graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business from the Pamplin College of Business, Majoring in Hospitality and Tourism Management. While attending Virginia Tech, he was a part of the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee, which planned and formatted future curriculum objectives for the Hospitality Department, the President of Eta Sigma Delta International Hospitality Society and a member of the Hospitality Management Association.
