Vasco Ventures, in conjunction with Trodale Developers and operating under the name 66 EB Partners, selected New Castle Hotels & Resorts to manage an upcoming Fairfield Inn by Marriott in Monticello, N.Y. In addition to operating the hotel upon completion, New Castle Hotels & Resorts will also advise during the construction phase of the project.
Monticello, located in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains, is undergoing a concerted redevelopment of its downtown area. It is home to “The Might M” Monticello Raceway, a year-round harness racing track and casino; the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts; and, since 2018, the $1.2 billion Resorts World Catskills Casino.
“We are honored that Vasco Ventures has chosen us for their inaugural endeavor in the franchise hospitality sector,” Julian Buffam, partner at New Castle Hotels & Resorts, said in a statement. “The Fairfield brand is exactly the right choice for this project because it allows for localization and flexibility in design specifications that will enable us to create a sense of place and accommodate the unique needs of the market.”
The upcoming Fairfield Inn will offer 3,500 square feet of meeting and event space. Construction on the project is slated to begin in the first quarter of 2020.
