A new 200-room SpringHill Suites hotel is coming to Athens, Ga.
Benson's Hospitality Group will operate the hotel, which is part of the Marriott International brand. Construction will begin fall 2017, though Benson has not yet filed plans with the Athens-Clarke County Planning Department of the county's Building Permits & Inspections Department.
The hotel's design will differ from standard SpringHill Suites properties, using a red brick facade. However, formal plans have yet to be filed on this design as well, though the design will be decided on in coordination with Marriott and Benson.
