Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide may be getting a new property in Nashville, Tenn.
The proposed property is named the Joseph Nashville, and it will be constructed in a parking lot currently owned by the Nashville Symphony. The 300-room, 21-story hotel will be a member of Starwood's Luxury Collection brand, and will be developed by Pizzuti Cos.
Pizzuti could appeal to city officials for aid, tax breaks or other benefits to assist in securing the development. Currently, the hotel's price tag remains unknown, as is the status of its financing and the terms for the purchase of the land from the Nashville Symphony.
