Omni buys Mount Washington, N.H., hotel

Omni Hotels & Resorts acquired the Omni Mount Washington in New Hampshire. The company had been operating the hotel since 2009, but now owns it after purchasing it from CNL Lifestyle Properties, a subsidiary of CNL Financial Group.

"In November 2015, we entered into a purchase and sale agreement for one of our ski and mountain lifestyle properties for $90.5 million, which exceeds the carrying value of the property," CNL said in a financial filing.

Included as part of the deal are the Bretton Woods ski area and several adjacent golf courses and inns. Omni also bought 500 acres for future development, though no plans currently exist.
