Planning for a new Omni Hotel in Louisville, Ky., is now cleared to begin construction in January 2016.
The new hotel is expected to cost $300 million and will include a housing development. The development will include a 600-room Omni hotel and over 200 apartments, as well as a grocery store, retail space and parking garage.
The site of the future hotel included the Louisville Water Co. headquarters, which was constructed in 1910. The historic elements of the water company building will be incorporated into a future project.
