Red Lion converts property in Tucson, Ariz.

Red Lion Hotels Corporation opened a new franchise location in Tucson, Ariz., after converting an existing hotel to the brand.

"We are very excited to become the first Red Lion property in Tucson,” said Joseph Gallagher, General Manager of the Red Lion Inn & Suites Tucson North Foothills. “We look forward to providing our Red Lion guests with outstanding service and an exceptional Arizona experience.”

The Red Lion Inn & Suites Tucson North Foothills, has 155 rooms, 91 of which are suites, and 1,600 square feet of meeting space. The hotel remodeled in 2012, and the owners are currently investing in all new bedding for the guestrooms and improving the courtyard, which includes the heated outdoor pool and hot tub, a putting green and a cabana. Guests. The property is near Tohono Chul Park, and provides access to The University of Arizona, Sabino Canyon, Arizona‐Sonoran Desert Museum, Old Tucson Studios and Mission San Xavier del Bac.
