Residence Inn planned for Cleveland, Ohio

A hotel at Jacobs Real Estate Services' Avon Place development is dertermined to be a 116-room Residence Inn.

The real estate company, based in Westlake, is selling 4.27 acres in Avon to a hotel developer. Real estate records show the sale, to Emerald Hospitality Associates and Nimbus Investment Fund, has not closed.

Now it appears that the buyers are planning a five-story Residence Inn on the site, which is part of a master-planned development north of the new Interstate 90 interchange. The hotel is scheduled to open in spring 2015.

The Residence Inn Cleveland-Westlake, one of Marriott's first-generation properties under that flag, is just 3.5 miles away.
