Rosewood Hotel Group appoints former Starwood director to SVP of ops

Rosewood Hotel Group appointed Achim Lenders as SVP of operations, Americas and Europe. In this role, Lenders will provide support, guidance and direction to the operational teams of Rosewood properties in those regions.

Lenders joins Rosewood Hotel Group with more than 30 years of experience in food-and-beverage and operations in the luxury sector. Most recently, he served as Starwood’s global VP of food & beverage, where he drove the implementation of practices across their luxury brands. Born and raised in Germany, Achim received his culinary training and degree before launching his career in the hospitality world in this region where he worked in a number of restaurants.

In 1988, Lenders joined Hyatt as chef de cuisine in Australia. After holding various executive chef positions for Hyatt properties in Brazil, China, Japan and the Philippines, Lenders joined Hyatt’s corporate team in 2004 as director of food & beverage. He then assumed various senior management positions, including senior vice president, global food & beverage, before joining Starwood in 2014.
